I have a existing unfinished VB App that needs some misc tasks completed. I can email the file. I used Visual Studio 2008.
Task #1
Tab Control 2 / Tab Page 10
Implement Reportviewer Control
I setup a reportLineItems dataset containing the tables that I wanted to use in the report. The database is a sql database located on a godaddy server.
A button click event refreshes the reportviewer.
The report should show data based on the customer table / customerbindingsource current row custid.
Jobmain table should show data based on the jobmainbindingsource current row id field
Jobdetails table should show data based on the jobdetailsbindingsource current row jobid field
Insured table should show data based on the insuredbindingsource current row jobid field
areas table should show data based on the areasbindingsource current row jobid field
areadetails table should show data based on the areaDetailsbindingsource current row jobid field
layout:
Customer Info – Home Address and main contact info…
Job Info – job address and date….
Job Details – date the job was started and so forth…
Areas –
Area Details –
Basically what I am trying to achieve is: you select a customer ([login to view URL]) and select a job ([login to view URL]) and click a button ([login to view URL]) and the report refreshes / loads.
I usually use crystal to do reports but I had issues when trying to install the app on different pc's. I decided to use the reportviewer because of this.
If you can get it all wired up I can customize the layout and organization of everything.
Task #2
Implement Product Registration
I need to implement a 30 day trial period.
I need to implement a product registration system where after you purchase the software a registration key can be emailed and input by the user to unlock the software.
The product will be unlocked for 1 year. There will be a 1 year license that has to be repurchased yearly.
Task #3
Interface
My interface has a elementary look to it.
Task #4
Code improvement
Any suggestions?
You will notice that a few of the buttons aren't connected to anything..
