I need a structural engineer to create a master permitting package for a dual-axis tracking solar system. This system is independent and will use cables and ground anchors for stability. We can send you a report of the details of this cad file and if you are selected we will send the cad file to you to approve so you are not starting from zero. RFQ: X3 Solar Mini-Mite Master Structural Permitting Package + Optional Site-Specific Install Packages I am requesting a fixed-scope RFQ, not a general estimate. No payment will be released until local permitting authority approves the Master Permitting Package completely X3 Solar has developed the Mini-Mite, a prebuilt ground-anchored dual-axis solar support structure designed to support four 710 W bifacial solar panels. We are in Orlando Florida. The system includes a steel rack/frame, mast, lower foundation, clamp sleeve, cables, anchors, motors, operating controls, and a temporary storm-deployed cable package. We have near ready cad files, of which step files are attached. We are seeking a qualified structural engineer, engineering firm, or permit-package professional to provide a clear fixed proposal for one or both of the following scopes. SCOPE A — MASTER STRUCTURAL PERMITTING PACKAGE Provide a complete master structural permitting package for the Mini-Mite standard product configuration broken in 3 parts and needs separate quotes A1: A preliminary testing of the unit to later be applied to the full permit package A2: Full master permitting package A3: Any on going responses to future installs The intended deliverable is a complete AHJ-facing structural package that can be reviewed, corrected, finalized, and signed/sealed by the responsible engineer where applicable. The master package should include, as applicable: structural review of the Mini-Mite rack/frame, mast, foundation, clamp sleeve, cables, anchors, bolts, pins, welds, storm package, and structural load path; structural calculations for wind, dead load, uplift, overturning, mast stresses, foundation, anchors, cables, bolts, welds, and relevant connections; design criteria including applicable code basis, Risk Category, exposure category, wind speed, load combinations, and installation limitations; plan/elevation/detail drawings suitable for AHJ review; numbered component locator drawings matching the component schedule; structural notes; material schedule; bolt/nut/washer/pin schedule; cable/turnbuckle/anchor/storm-kit schedule; weld schedule and weld-location requirements; foundation / mast / clamp sleeve details; storm deployment details and limitations; installation and inspection checklist; required manufacturer cut sheets and certificates; PE sign/seal path or final signed/sealed deliverable if the proposer is licensed and authorized to do so; AHJ comment-response support within the structural scope. Requested master design basis: Product: X3 Solar Mini-Mite Four 710 W bifacial solar panels Ground-mounted dual-axis support structure Risk Category II Exposure C Target ultimate wind speed: Vult 170 mph Standard operation below approved operating wind limit Auto-flat command at 30 mph sensed wind Full storm package deployed when forecast winds exceed 50 mph 170 mph high-wind condition only when array is flat and storm package is fully deployed, tensioned, locked, and inspected SCOPE B — SITE-SURVEY-SPECIFIC INSTALL PACKAGE / REPEAT INSTALLATION PROCESS. We will provide site map, line drawings, and images. We can tell you in this part of the package we have received quotes for around $100 per install. Separately identify whether you can provide, review, coordinate, or exclude the site-specific install package for each future installation. Please state clearly whether your scope includes any of the following: site survey review; site plan preparation; site plan review only; customer survey review; placement of the Mini-Mite on the property plan; setback/zoning interface; wind speed / exposure / Risk Category confirmation for each site; soil/foundation/anchor suitability review; confirmation that the specific installation remains within the approved master structural design envelope; site-specific signed/sealed structural letter or drawing; AHJ comment-response support; electrical coordination, if any; permit application support, if any. If you do not provide site surveys, site plans, permit filing, zoning review, electrical design, or AHJ coordination, state that clearly as an exclusion. FILES TO BE PROVIDED X3 Solar can provide the following: STEP file of the Mini-Mite with storm package; STEP file of the Mini-Mite without storm package; current draft master structural permit package; material/member schedule; hardware schedule; weld-location information; foundation / mast / clamp sleeve details; storm-package description; operating description; photos and renderings; PV module certificate/cut sheet; motor drawings/certificates; available component cut sheets; prior permit-package example for desired formatting/style. REQUIRED RFQ RESPONSE FORMAT Please respond using this format: Are you licensed to provide structural engineering in Florida? If yes, provide license number and whether you can sign/seal.
