I need to have visitors that visit the home page/ top level of my site ([url removed, login to view]) redirected (not via meta tag, should be 301, 302, or something else) to a subdomain on my domain. Currently, I’ve got a wordpress press blog on my domain(at the top level, so [url removed, login to view] points to the blog front page), and would like to keep it as is (except for the front page), as a archive, but want visitors to the home page to be redirected to the new sub domain. The change should be documented so that it could be easily reversed in the future.
