I am decommissioning an Windows 2003 Server that currently controls the DHCP for my companies network. I would like to use my Cisco 3560 to handle DHCP for my office. I would like the IP scheme to remain the same, just have it work from switch instead of server.
Other information that will be helpful:
This network has 2 locations separated by 20 miles.
We have a Cisco VOIP phone system that was installed by a vender that we can not get ahold of.
We would need to schedule a time to make this transition so that we can take the network down without affecting employees.
I know very basic networking, so please let me know what other information you require.
