I'm very new to the site so trying to bid as low as possible and get better reviews as much as possible. That being said I would recommend to go for the Linux based solution nagios. Hi, I work with a team of cyber security professionals in Australia. I have specific skills in deploying and configuring SIEMS. ArcSight and Splunk are the biggest players. I have many certifications although the ones relevant to this job may include CISSP, CISM, and ArcSight ESM. I have worked with all the log formats you have mentioned including writing what HP ArcSight calls flex connectors, to parse logs that aren't normalized by ArcSight's smart connectors. I have deployed SolarWinds once in my career however it is one of the less complicated SIEM. I am confident I can deliver your project on time and on budget. The project risks are: - Sizing the deployment correctly to ensure LEM can handle the events per second required - Defining how many log sources there are (this could change the duration of the project) - Ensuring that logging is setup correctly on the all nodes. Done by the client I assume. - Speaking to the customer about their requirements for allowing agents to be installed on servers if required as well as the creation/use of privileged accounts to access the logs. - Being able to injest syslog formats for all log sources correctly. (as not all products can support syslog natively). - Backup strategy To ensure this project is delivered correctly I can develop a high level and detailed level design. I have a police check certificate and an Australian government security clearance so you can be assured you are getting someone trustworthy.

Involved with multiple SoC project dealing with multiple type of devices. Manage logs consolidations and pushing the logs to SiEM solutions for Logs Correlations. Manage logs retention according to specific organizations requirement on log archiving. Secure log transport from aggregated syslog servers to centralized syslog server. Most of the work are running on Linux environment. Custom scripts to manage the logs, rotations and archiving purposes. We can discuss further and outline the requirement clearly on paper. Agree on the requirement and work follows. All work will be done offsite, probably with VPN solution needed to connect to the your environment. I could setup a temporary VPN solution for this work which could be dismantle right after. I will prepare the bill of material for the project. Will need participation from your local network administrator to configure their servers to send logs to the syslog servers. Documentation will be handled, procedures will be outlined on how to troubleshoot and resolve issues on the system. I can be contacted further in the future is assistance is required during troubleshooting or enhancement.

Please let me know if you have a delivery timeframe, and if you have all the required log sources already setup and generating log feeds to be delivered to the Solar Winds SIEM. Is Solarwinds already installed and this is a configuration task or is installation also required? Do servers sending logs to SIEM have any traffic filtering devices between them and the SIEM, is routing already in place between the servers and SIEM?

We have very experienced NOC and system teams that will be happy to take this project and assist you in implementing this solution, we already have and experience with many SIEM platforms like IBM's Qradar...and ELK based solutions.
