My hosting company did a migration from the old server to a new server, now my websites hosted on the server are not showing up. My server admin tech is on vacation and I am not familiar with this kind of "techy stuff" as he is the one that handles matter of this nature for years now When I contacted my hosting company (TMD HOSTING to inform them that my sites were not showing up, this is what they replied to me; ===================================================== Thanks for the response. The websites have been migrated successfully. However, the new server IP address has not yet been updated in the DNS records for the domains. Kindly update the DNS to point to the new server IP. Additionally, we have verified the websites by accessing them through the local hosts file, and they are functioning correctly. Please find the attached screenshot for your reference. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. they then added; Could you please configure the custom nameservers on your new server through WHM > Basic WebHost Manager Setup, and then update the same nameservers in your domain's control panel along with the corresponding glue records as shown below? Alternatively, if you are using third-party nameservers (such as Cloudflare or another DNS provider), please update the relevant A records to point to the new server IP address instead. Your sites are fine — they just need the DNS pointed to the new server IP, which is a straightforward fix. I'll log into WHM on the new server to configure the custom nameservers (ns1/[login to view URL]), set the glue records pointing to [login to view URL], update the A record for [login to view URL], and then update all your addon domains to use the new nameservers in your domain registrar's panel. Once DNS propagates, all your websites will be live again. I've done this kind of server migration DNS work many times — it's routine for me. For your case I'll start by pulling the current DNS records and confirming which A records and CNAMEs still point to the old server IP.
