I will start off by telling you why we need these case studies and then exactly what we need.
A partner and I are finishing a big report on "Reputation Management" and we had a lawyer talk to us for only 1 hour and from that 1 hour talk we wrote about 30 pages of the report. We were very clear about why we were talking to him. Now all of a sudden just before we put the report out he wants 1/3 ownership of the report when he did nothing but an hour interview that would promote his practice in our report. Even though he did not write one page we are removing all of his content 100%. The problem now is that we need to fill those pages with valuable "legal" content. Legal as in how reputation works in the eyes of the law. Because we are not lawyers we are looking to fill these pages with "case studies" (instead of legal advice) of different lawsuits that have been filed here in the US which of course have different laws from state to state. As I am sure you know, lawsuits are public domain here in the US.
So we need to put together between 10 -20 small case studies that are much like articles but instead we need to make articles that read like case studies on the lawsuits about these "Reputation Management" cases. We need to keep as much legal advice in the rewritten article/case study as possible but we must site the source of where each claim is made. We as authors are not allowed to give legal advice but we can comment on and curate the case study. Which we will do along with tweaking the final draft that you would send us. I would also like to see additional facts and figures added to what I give you. These articles and case studies that I would send you would have a lot of additional material available online about them. Each article/case study has to be specific to each case but it would be ok to compare a ruling to another case if it made since. Bridging over facts statistics to a case is also totally cool. We will supply most of the research material on these cases but we are really looking to you to turn the case study into something amazing. I really don't need too many words maybe 2000 - 3000 words because we will end up adding to most of it anyway with our own opinions.
We are looking for your best possible work and that will determine how many case studies we order from you. We are also hiring 3 others to do the same job and we will pick the best delivery based on quality along with overall price. If the deliverable are amazing and we see high value to the reader we will order 20 of your best possible case studies. Btw, this is job one of 8 reports that need to be completed before November 1st and the only one as of now that has anything to do with legal issues.
Just to save time for everyone we will be able to pay $100 per case study.
