Virtual assistant / sales & service representative

Our client is looking for a friendly, reliable, internet-savvy virtual assistant/sales officer to work full-time on a set salary (plus bonus). Essentially, you will be the first point of contact for clients for web (via their chat feature on their website) and phone enquiries (you’d be provided with a Skype number). This position is a mix between:

- sales/business development (approx. 50%)

- customer service (approx. 25%)

- administration (approx. 25%)

Your duties would mainly include (but not be limited to):

Writing:

- Writing sales letters (professional style, no mass marketing)

- Writing and sending sales proposals to potential clients via email

- Writing product and sales promotions

- Writing of monthly client newsletter

Researching/database development:

- Reviewing the websites of potential clients and gathering contact information (via website and phone)

Customer service:

- Answering phone (Skype) for initial enquiries of potential clients (at the start you won’t have to provide them with information – you will only have to take the message and their phone number so the consultants can call them back; you will receive training in the future to assist clients directly)

- Answering live chat on the website

- Sending forms to customers via email

Sales:

- Following up emails by phone

- General outbound sales phone calls to potential clients

Experience/skills required:

- Very good written and verbal English language sills (native or near native level)

- Clear voice and British, neutral or American English accent (no Indian, Pakistani or other strong accents – the client will eventually conduct a phone interview to check this)

- Proficient writing and grammar skills (no spelling and grammar errors)

- Experienced in browsing the web, using email, chat and instant messenger

- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (basic)

- Preferably experience with Microsoft Outlook and Skype (this is not a requirement but an added bonus – the successful applicant will receive training)

Personality:

- Very friendly, professional, customer service oriented attitude

- Confident and not afraid of talking to customers on the phone and calling businesses (outbound sales calls)

- Proactive and enthusiastic

- Willingness to learn

- Very organized and reliable

- Detail oriented

- Able to work with minimal supervision (autonomously)

Other requirements:

- Own computer (Windows XP, Vista or 7) with ability to install programs (the client will provide all software)

- Own headphone or Skype phone to conduct clear voice calls via Skype (must be provided by you)

- Reliable broadband internet access (your internet connection must be quick enough to receive/make clear Skype phone calls)

Duration:

The role is ongoing.

Daily/weekly work commitment:

7am to 3pm Manila time (UTC/GMT +8 hours), Monday to Friday. You must be devoting your full attention to the work tasks at all times during your working hours. As such, you will not be able to conduct any other work during this time.

Salary:

Average pay grade for sales/administration/clerical work in the Philippines plus bonuses.

Payment terms:

The client will pay either weekly, fortnightly or monthly (depends what you prefer). Payment will be made within 2 days after the end of week/fortnight/month (will be discussed with the candidate).

Employment terms:

You will be hired on a contractor basis and as such no employment benefits will be paid beside your remuneration (base salary plus applicable bonus). You are responsible for your own health insurance cover, pension, etc. Eventually, this position may evolve into full employment with all benefits if this is in the interest of both parties.
