I need to make corrections to a code in Matlab that calculates displacement or drift using T.H.A. method. The code must solve "[M]·ϋ+[C]·u̇+[K]·u=m·a" trough Runge Kutta 4th order method. The model is a 4 floors, 3D frame with 4 columns with shear hinges and 4 undeformable beams per floor (see image below). The results have to be consistent with the same model in CSi Perform 3D software.
I would like a civil or structural engineering background.
1. Create a 3D model (in a finite element software like Perform3D, Ansys, SAP2000, etc) that match perfectly (or so) with matlab code.
2. If model results turn out different, go through the code to correct it.
3. Develope all other functions in MatLab so the code and the model match.
