About AUG Signals: AUG Signals was established in 1986 and is a research oriented company focused on the development of advanced Signal, Image and Data Processing (SIDP) algorithms. The company is at the forefront of research and development in several areas including: image registration, data mining, detection and recognition, multi-sensor fusion and intelligent situation assessment. The company provides services in data collection, processing, analysis and delivery, working with data from satellites, airborne, and ground sensors. These technologies are applied to a variety of fields, including: military, national security, resource exploration, and environmental monitoring. About the position: The UI/UX Developer will build software to visualize real-time plots/graphs/paths, as well as to control/interact with plots/graphs for advanced image processing. They will work closely with the algorithm development team to understand the end-user controls/interactions and design these into the developed software. Qualifications: • 3+ years' experience developing UI/UX for professional desktop applications on Windows platforms • 3+ years' professional UI development experience with one popular programming language such as C++, C#, Java, or Python • At least 2 UI/UX development projects involving real-time data streams • Knowledge of image processing (e.g. detection or tracking) is an asset • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Matlab, Google etc. , will be an asset • Ability to coordinate well with a team while working independently • Proficient in verbal and written communication Application Requirements: • Must apply with work portfolio

Dear AUG Signals team, I personally have 15+ years software development experience in fortune 500 companies - please refer to my profile • 3+ years' experience developing UI/UX for professional desktop applications on Windows platforms --> In my corporate stint, I was one of developers for Rich Client, a PLM client developed in Java Swing. We used plenty of design patterns. • 3+ years' professional UI development experience with one popular programming language such as C++, C#, Java, or Python --> I have experience with C++, since I was a part of CAD connectors group, C# (MVC,WebForms) and Java (thick and thin clients). • At least 2 UI/UX development projects involving real-time data streams --> Worked on development projects involving CAD data • Knowledge of image processing (e.g. detection or tracking) is an asset --> While I do not have knowledge, my colleague here is working on a "person tracking" mechanism using OpenCV+ Python. • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Matlab, Google etc. , will be an asset --> Used Matlab in my graduation project. • Ability to coordinate well with a team while working independently • Proficient in verbal and written communication --> Communication and team co-ordination shouldnt be a problem as I have worked with F500 companies • Must apply with work portfolio --> The thick clients that I have developed were a part of my corporate stint. However I am ready for a no-obligation POC to prove my competencies.
