I have a word document with some VBA in it. The VBA creates an invoice number that goes on the document. I need to do two things...
1. I need to make sure the invoice number starts off blank. Right now, for instance, if someone saved the document after an invoice number had been generated, it would stay with the document when it is reopened. Thus, if the first invoice number was "001" and the document was saved, and then reopened and a new invoice number generated, the invoice number needs to read "002". Right now, it will read "002001" because the old "001" was saved. Instead, the new invoice number would need to REPLACE the old invoice number (instead of being added to it)
2. I need to "protect" the invoice number from user manipulation. In other words, when someone opens the docuemnt and clicks on the Macro button that creates an invoice number, they shouldn't be able to go back in and edit the number. This needs to be prevented. (inserting breaks and then protecting forms won't work.. it will prevent the VBA from executing a new invoice number as well as
