I'm searching for a programmer who knows C++ and would be able to write a small program which turns on absolute mode on Synaptics touch pads. Absolute mode means that the X and Y coordinates on the touch pad correspond directly to X and Y coordinates on the screen. By default all touch pads work like a mouse (relative), but I need it to work like a tablet (absolute).
I would also need two extra features. The first one is the turning of the whole coordinate system by 90° steps. Second is adjusting the active area of the touch pad. See included image for more information.
I can provide the SDK in fact you can download it from the Synaptics page[Remove by Admin] and I also added it to this project for downloading. This SDK already includes examples of what I need, so there is not much work to be done.
Additional info: The touch pad will be connected through a PS/2 port.
