Build a custom function in VBA for Applications (MSWord and MSExcel, all versions)

I want a custom 'Find & Replace" function that will work in any version of MS Word or MSExcel for Windows. The industry I work in has some unique words that are always misspelled or and abbreviated incorrectly, so I will pay to have some custom VBA code written to do the following. In a open MSWord document or Open MSExcel Workbook click on an icon that opens the new function and either highlight and select some text (or cells) and run the 'Custom Find & Replace' function or run against the entire document. If the work or phrase is not found the user would be able to add the a new correct word or phrase and replace the word or phrase in the open document. If there is more than 1 possible replacement the VBA function will allow the user to select the one he or she likes best. I want the correct words or phrases to be stored in a text file or other simple file that can be sync'ed to a company server and then be merged to a 'Master Find & Replace' file then after the merge the New "Master Finder and Replace' file will be pulled down from the server to the local computer to be used. I can do the interface design and you can provide the VBA code behind. I can also fill in the unknowns like the path to the server and such.
