I have a large list of model numbers and corresponding prices in an Excel worksheet that needs to be updated on a daily basis. I recieve a new excel worksheet each day with updated model numbers and prices.
I need a Macro/VBA tool that will compare the model numbers & prices in the UPDATED excel worksheet with the model numbers & prices in the INVENTORY excel worksheet.
If a price in the Updated worksheet is different from the price in the Inventory worksheet, the price needs to be changed in the Inventory worksheet.
If a model number in the Inventory worksheet does not exists in the Updated worksheet, the cell value (in the v_status column) needs to be set to "Inactive" in the Inventory worksheet.
If a model number in the Inventory worksheet does exist in the Updated worksheet, the cell value (in the v_status column) needs to be set to "Active" in the Inventory worksheet.
If a model number in the Updated worksheet is not in the Inventory worksheet I need some sort of notice (perhaps in a separate worksheet listing the model number).
I've attached a couple of sample file:
1) [login to view URL] - the Updated worksheet I recieve on a daily basis
2) [login to view URL] - the Inventory worksheet that I need changed to reflect the model numbers and prices in the Updated worksheet.
i) The model number is in the "A" column
ii) The price that needs to be updated is in the "M" column
iii) The Active/Inactive value is in the "L" column
The ACTUAL Excel worksheets are much bigger (8000+ rows).
