This project is very straightforward. I need someone who is proficient with VBA Script programming for Outlook to look at different versions of a script that were written for me, decide which code from each of them to use, then combine the code into one working script. Alternatively, you may write your own code using the scripts I will send you as a model.
I have a working “original” version of a VBA Script which speaks the Reminders in Outlook 2010 (called ReminderSpeak). I also have some revisions and rewrites to the original script, which also work. The problem is that most of them cause errors in Outlook, making it crash.
The ReminderSpeak script currently says my middle name, “Antonio”, then announces the subject of the reminder, e.g., “Antonio: Get bread at the store”, “Antonio: Dr. Smith”, “Antonio: Sign up for training seminar”, etc. The existing VB Scripts which are either 17 or 25 lines long and need to be combined into one working version with the following working features:
1. The voice needs to be slower than the standard speaking voice. I have experimented with this in the other scripts that have been written for me, and I liked it at -1 (negative 1) speech rate for the standard voice in the script; and
2. I would like to have a different voice. I am not going to change the voice often, if at all, so I do not need a dialogue box, just a line of code which specifies the speaking voice value. I could then change the value myself for the various voices.
Once I am provided with the working text of the script, I know how to copy it into the VB editor in Outlook, use the selfcert tool to certify it, etc. So, I do not need an EXE file, or anything similar, just the VBA Script text.
This project consists of putting together pieces of code which have already been developed, and work, then debugging the final. Included with this post is a ZIP file of the TXT versions of the existing VBA Scripts for you to work from.
For this work, am paying $30, of which the total will be placed into a Milestone payment account before the start of the project.
Please respond if you have a working knowledge of programming VBA Scripts in Outlook, particularly, with respect to the speech module.
Thank you for your consideration!
