Need a desktop app that will be trigered from MS office 2003, as one option in the file menu.
The app must work with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and will work as follows:
1) Modify the File Menu, and disable "Save" and "Save As" options
2) Create a new option "Save in Glegal" this is the option that will triger the desktop app.
3) Read from a remote MySQL Data Base, 3 tables, and allow to chose a record.
3.1) User table, chose user name.
3.2) Client table, chose client name.
3.3) Matter table, chose matter description.
4) If the document to save is new:
4.1) generate the path using the info of the chossed record from the database tables.
4.2) Input document description (default has to be the first 100 characters of the document).
4.3) Generate file name
4.4) Save document in the generated path and with the generated file name.
4.5) write to a database table the following fields:
4.5.1) document id (incremental)
4.5.2) document description
4.5.3) document author
4.5.4) date created
4.5.5) locked ( yes or no)
4.5.6) document path
4.5.7) document filename
4.5.8) document version (incremental)
5) If not a new document:
5.1) if locked field is no:
5.1.1) Save document with same path and file name.
5.1.2) Update document table.
5.2) if locked field is yes:
5.2.1) Save document with same path and new file name.
5.2.2) write document table with incremented version.
We must receive all code and documentation, the app will have a configuration file that will include all data connection parameters for the data base, and root folder for the documents to save.
The app is needeed in spanish, but english will be fine, we can translate the labels.
The max budget for the app is $300USD. and it has to be runing before july 31, 2010.
