I've written an Excel macro that requires various add-ins and references. Right now, the user has to install these add-ins & references by hand. I'd prefer that the installation be automated as part of the macro.
Here are the steps that the user currently has to carry out. I'd like a VBA macro to automate these steps:
1. On the menu bar, go to "Tools," "Add-Ins."
Check the boxes for: "Analysis ToolPak," "Analysis ToolPak - VBA," and "Solver Add-in."
2. On the menu bar: go to "Tools," "Macro," "Visual Basic Editor."
In the Visual Basic Editor, go to "Tools," "References."
Check the boxes for: "Visual Basic for Applications," "Microsoft Excel 11.0 Object Library," and "SOLVER." (it's fine if other boxes are also checked)
Close the Visual Basic Editor
I can supply the macro code you need to add the required addins. The macro will ensure that the addins are available to the user, and, if so install them. If not, post a warning. Same day turnaround.
