I am midway through my DNP project in a mixed-level ICU and need a data-savvy partner to tighten up my outcome variables and set up an intuitive Excel workbook that will keep my collection process clean and audit-ready. Scope of work • Turn the outcomes I have chosen—length of ICU stay, mechanical-ventilation duration, mobilization scores, mobility-protocol compliance, and delirium incidence—into precise, measurable variables. Each needs an operational definition, clear inclusion/exclusion notes, and the exact unit of measure so every nurse on the unit can chart the same way. • Build a data dictionary inside the same file so anyone reviewing the project sees at a glance what each column means. • Design a spreadsheet template (Excel 365) with dropdowns, validation rules, and conditional formatting that flag incomplete or impossible entries in real time, helping me keep data accuracy high without extra manual checks. • Walk me through the best workflow for daily collection, including tips on pulling figures from the EHR versus bedside flow sheets. Acceptance criteria 1. Variable definitions align with current ICU quality-improvement standards and are ready for IRB or committee review. 2. Spreadsheet functions correctly with sample (mock) data: formulas for LOS calculations, automated ventilator-hours totals, and real-time compliance percentages must all balance. 3. Clear instructions tab included so rotating staff can enter data without extra training.
