Currently we have a MS Access VB6 application that has been programmed in United States (English). We are planning to deploy this application to Germany in a week, however, we ran into an issue where the way the data is stored (numerical values) it gives errors. For example, in united states a double is represented as:
1,234.56 however in germany (european system)
it is represented as
as a result when the program tries to store the data value it gives an error becuase of numerical formatting. We were successfull when we changed the locale settings from german to united states, however this has to be done manually.
So, i am looking for someone who can quickly develop a standard executable that will automatically change the user local settings from german to english which the application is in use and then revert back to users local settings when the application is closed.
This is the only way i know of how to fix this issue. If anyone has ideas on other ways (within VB6 or other method) i am open to options. But time is very short. Need to have something in a day or two.
