I’m building a kernel-mode device driver for Windows that must correctly interact with the system’s IOMMU. The project covers everything from setting up the DMA/IOMMU mappings to delivering a signed, production-ready SYS and INF package. Scope • Write and document the KMDF (or WDM, if you prefer) driver code that programs the IOMMU for secure DMA operations. • Provide a simple user-mode test app demonstrating basic I/O through the driver. • Supply build instructions using the latest Windows Driver Kit and Visual Studio toolchain. • Hand over all source, PDBs, and a brief report detailing how you verified correct IOMMU behavior (e.g., Driver Verifier, DMA tests, or custom stress tools). Acceptance Criteria – Driver loads on Windows 10/11 x64 without unsigned-driver warnings. – Read/write paths complete DMA safely, confirmed via your test tool. – No memory leaks or verifier violations after a 12-hour stress run.
