I need pairs of native-level American English speakers—one male and one female in each pair—to record seven informal, scripted conversations for me on Funcrowd. The full session for a pair runs about 2.5 hours, split across those seven files. All scripts and prompts come from my side, so you can focus purely on speaking naturally and clearly; no improvisation or topic planning is required. Here is how the job flows: • You team up with a partner (or ask me to match you). • Using Funcrowd’s browser recorder, you work through the seven provided scripts in order. • Audio only: no video, no special studio—just a quiet room, a decent mic, and stable internet. • Upload each conversation immediately after recording; the platform timestamps everything automatically. Deliverables for each pair 1. Seven separate audio files (one per script) recorded in Funcrowd. 2. Clean, consistent volume, free of echoes, distortion, or background noise. 3. Completion inside the same sitting so the total duration stays near 2.5 hours. Acceptance criteria • Both voices are clearly American in accent and at a B2–C1 proficiency or higher. • All lines in the scripts are covered without omissions or ad-libs. • Files pass Funcrowd’s built-in quality checks. Payment is set at $100 per pair ($50 each) released once the files are verified by Funcrowd. first, plainly: the speakers are American English natives on my team. i am not one, and i am not going to pretend otherwise on a job where the accent is the deliverable. on the recording, the thing that most often makes conversational sets unusable is both speakers sharing one room and one device. you get bleed on both voices, and if anything downstream needs them separated, that cannot be undone afterwards. so each speaker gets their own track even when they are in the same room. tell me whether you need separate channels or a single mixed file and i will set it up that way from the start. consistency across the seven files matters as much as quality inside any one of them. same room, same mic distance, ideally one sitting. a set recorded across different days carries a different acoustic signature from file to file, and that is exactly what gets a batch sent back. on the scripts: informal and scripted pull against each other. cold reading sounds like reading. so the pair runs each conversation once for sense, then performs it. that costs a few minutes per file and it is the whole difference between natural and stilted. two things before we book the time: separate channels or mixed, and is there a target noise floor or file format you have to meet on your side?
