We like to provide VoiceXML customer service to our clients and alleviate the volumes of calls sent to our customer service folks. most customers call to get order status or get their account balance. we need a system that can interface with an SQL database to do queries and return the information to the client. the system must remember the caller ID to identify the caller for repeat callers. the system will validate a customer by asking for order number and shipping zip code, and will provide order status. for account balance, the system will prompt for the customer # and the zip code in file. if the info is validated, the system will prompt the user to save the caller id for recognizing the call next time.
we like to test this system using an outside number with a sample SQL DB I will provide you with. later on we will integrate with out PBX and production database.
