I'm looking to create a website that displays a database of shows and songs for my band. The front end should have a list of shows by year and then a seperate page for each individual show. On the individual show page I want it to display the song lists before the setlist (everything linkable) to also show how many show was the last tine the song was played (see [login to view URL]). The site should have a hidden backend for the band to see the past four shows as well as the master setlist. Once the band member finalizes the setlist I want it to generate a google/word type doc that is stored, but also emailed out to the addresses of my [login to view URL] stage setlist should inclue the venue / city / curfew / band member that wrote it (see attached example). The site should also have a seperate backend interface for show attendees given a user/pass to enter the setlist for that show real time, and display on a fonrt end page Backend Functionalities: - View and edit previous shows - Enter new shows real time, but have an edit function from this to officially certify that shows setlist before it goes in the database as official from the real time page to that shows page. - Generate and email the band members chosen setlist Additional Features: - Search functionality for the song database - Site should be viewable on web broswer from computer as well as from mobile phone Ideal Skills and Experience: - Web development (frontend and backend) - Database management - Experience with real-time data display - Familiarity with email automation Please provide examples of similar work done. Thank you!

Hi, I've built band websites with song databases and show listings before. Your setlist manager needs a clean MySQL backend with a simple frontend—straightforward PHP work. I noticed you want to display both shows and songs in one place, which means solid database structure upfront. I have delivered 1500+ web and mobile projects over 14+ years — happy to share relevant examples. Let's get this built. Send over any wireframes or details you have. Thanks, Hasan

Hi — Elias here from Miami. I see you're looking to create a website for your band that displays a database of shows and songs. The goal is to have an intuitive platform that showcases your music and enhances fan engagement. What usually matters most here is how well the system handles scalability as your database grows. A common issue in systems like this is ensuring performance remains stable with an increasing number of entries. The tricky part is usually managing user roles and permissions while keeping admin workflows straightforward. My approach would focus on a robust backend using PHP and MySQL, ensuring data is well-structured and easily retrievable. I'd prioritize clean code and maintainable architecture, allowing for future expansion, whether that’s adding new features or integrating additional data sources. I’ve worked on similar platforms that required tight integration with user management and real-time updates, ensuring reliability and a smooth user experience. A few questions to better understand the scope: Q1 – What specific user roles do you envision for managing the shows and songs? Q2 – Are there plans for integrations with ticketing platforms or social media? Q3 – How do you foresee handling updates to the setlist or show information? Happy to go through the details and suggest the best technical approach. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi there, I can see the hidden pain point here: you don’t just need a website, you need a reliable band memory system that keeps every show, song, and setlist synchronized without confusion. I’ve built PHP/MySQL-based web apps with searchable databases, role-based backends, email automation, and mobile-friendly front ends, so this kind of show archive and live setlist workflow fits well. I’d structure the site so the public pages show shows by year with linked songs and last-played history, while the band backend stays private for reviewing the last four shows, managing the master setlist, and certifying a show before it becomes official. I can also generate and email the setlist document automatically, including venue, city, curfew, and the member who prepared it. I’ve shared an initial estimate based on your description, and once we go over a few technical or functional details, I’ll confirm the exact cost and delivery schedule. Could you also confirm whether you want the real-time attendee entry page to update live for everyone instantly, and should the generated doc be PDF, Word, or both? What login roles do you want for band members versus attendees? Best regards, Asad Looking forward to your reply so we can finalize the exact plan.

Hi there, ★★★ PHP Expert ★★★ 5+ Years of Experience ★★★ I understand you're looking to create a comprehensive website for your band that includes both frontend and backend functionalities. Hi, this is a compact product, but it has a real workflow underneath it: public archive, band-only planning, attendee-driven live entry, and an official certification path. The main engineering risk is keeping live show edits, official history, and “last played” calculations consistent so the public record stays accurate. I’ve built several production systems like this where the hard part is not the pages themselves, but the state transitions and data rules behind them. With a MySQL-backed app, I’d usually structure this around separate models for shows, songs, set entries, draft/live state, and certified state rather than mixing everything into one editable record. The closest matches in my past work are HubSpot CRM Implementation & Interactive Senior Living Website for searchable public content plus protected backend workflows, and Custom Feature Development & Integration for bespoke database and UI logic. I’d recommend separating the system into public archive, band admin, live attendee input, and document/email generation layers. That keeps real-time entry simple while preserving an auditable certification step before a show becomes official. This is the kind of system I design for long-term production use, especially where historical accuracy matters. If useful, I can sketch the data model and approval flow first, including how “last played” should be computed and how the generated setlist doc should be stored and emailed. Thanks, Hercules

Hi there, The split you want between public show pages, a hidden band backend, and a separate live-entry interface for attendees is very doable, and the “last time this song was played” logic is exactly the kind of database-driven feature that needs to be structured properly from the start. I’d build this in PHP/MySQL with a clean mobile-friendly frontend, an admin area for managing shows/setlists, and a controlled workflow where live-entered songs can be reviewed and certified before becoming the official show record. I’ve handled complex WordPress/ACF data structures and custom plugin development before, so building searchable song/show relationships, generated setlist documents, and automated email delivery is well within my scope. For this project, I’d focus on making the backend fast and practical for real use on show day, not just nice-looking pages. If you’d like, message me and I can outline the database structure, user roles, and the best way to handle the real-time entry and setlist document generation. One quick question: do you want this built as a custom PHP app or inside WordPress with a custom admin workflow? Thanks, Srijidh

Hi, I understand you want a dedicated platform that not only preserves your band's history but also makes setlist creation, live updates, and sharing seamless for both members and fans. I have 12+ years of experience building custom web applications using PHP and MySQL, including CRM and workflow systems like DevPremier CRM and AI-enabled platforms like HirePilot. My focus is always on clean data structures, role-based access, and features that remain easy to maintain as the platform grows. Here's how I'd approach it: Build a structured song/show database with search, song history, and "last played" statistics similar to Everyday Companion. Create separate secure interfaces for band members and live attendees, including approval workflows for official setlists. Automate document generation and email distribution with venue details, curfew information, and author tracking. A couple of questions: Should real-time attendee updates use WebSockets, or is near real-time refresh sufficient? Do you want Google Docs integration, or should the system generate downloadable PDFs/Word documents directly? Happy to review the examples and attached setlist format and put together a practical implementation plan. Best regards, Ashwani

Hi, I am excited to help build your band setlist manager website. I understand you need a user-friendly frontend to display shows by year, with individual show pages that link to song lists and show the last time each song was played. The site will feature a secure backend for your band to review the last four shows and update the master setlist, which can then be generated into a document and emailed to selected members. Additionally, a real-time interface for show attendees to input setlists will be included, with live display on the front end. I will set up a search function for songs and ensure the site is fully responsive for both desktop and mobile users. My experience with web development, backend database management, real-time data display, and email automation makes me confident I can deliver exactly what you need. I have previously developed similar event and setlist management sites, focusing on automation and seamless user experience. Would you like to discuss the preferred technology stack or specific design preferences? Best, Justin

Greetings! As a seasoned full-stack developer with 9+ years of experience, I specialise in building custom database-driven platforms with real-time functionality and secure multi-user backends. Here's how I can help: • Develop a responsive website that organises shows by year, generates individual show pages, and links songs, setlists, and "last played" statistics similar to Everyday Companion. • Build secure backend portals for band members and show attendees, including real-time setlist entry, editing, approval workflows, and official show certification. • Create a searchable song database with fast filtering and relationships between songs, shows, venues, and historical performances. • Implement automated document generation (Google Doc/Word/PDF style) containing venue, city, curfew, and author details, then automatically store and email the finalised setlist. • Deliver a mobile-friendly platform with real-time updates, robust database architecture, and an intuitive admin interface for managing shows and historical data. Your workflow involving draft setlists, live attendee input, and official show approval is exactly the type of custom system I enjoy building. Have you already prepared the historical show/song data for import, or will migration from existing records be required? Also, do you prefer the generated setlists to be stored as PDFs, Google Docs, or both?
