Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled freelancer to develop a web scraping tool that can compare odds offered by multiple betting websites and identify potential arbitrage betting opportunities. The tool will be built using Python and output the results to an Excel spreadsheet. It should allow for customization of the website list and prompt the user to login to those websites to ensure access to personalized odds.
Responsibilities:
Develop a web scraping tool using Python to extract odds data from multiple betting websites.
Customize the tool to allow users to input their preferred list of websites for odds comparison.
Implement a user authentication prompt to allow login to the websites before scraping.
Retrieve and parse the HTML content of the target websites to extract relevant odds information.
Calculate implied probabilities based on the extracted odds.
Compare the odds from different websites to identify potential arbitrage opportunities.
Output the results to an Excel spreadsheet for easy analysis and visualization.
Implement error handling and robustness measures to handle various scenarios, such as connection issues and website-specific errors.
Ensure efficient and reliable scraping by implementing rate limiting and appropriate delays between requests.
Document the code and provide clear instructions for usage and customization.
