Relatively simple website design. Also will need some basic logo design to go with it. The general idea of this site is a hybrid between the myspace and ebay concepts (although much simpler). The project isn't particularly difficult and doesn't involve any innovative coding (a lot of you probably have most of the functions coded already), but cost is a major concern, thus lower bids will be given first shot. I am willing to try talented young or new programmers who can show examples of their work. General Site Specifications----------------------- The overall look of the home-page and user ads must have a distinct, sleek, very simple, contemporary design with intuitive functionality that is easy to use by people who aren't computer programmers. Users will register with a screen name and password, with all typical functions that go with it (personal contact information, Terms Of Service, etc) There should be an admin function to control different levels of membership. Users shall be able to post detailed �classified ad� type listings for their items in various product categories with a WYSIWYG or HTML editor. Classified ads will be categorized under different subheadings that can be set by the admin (ala ebay) Site should be designed with fast page load speeds and limited bandwidth transfer in mind. Unnecessary bandwidth intensive design components should be kept to a minimum although the site must exhibit a completely modern and pleasing styling. Limited flash is OK in certain areas, including the home page, but not overboard with it. Visitors must be able to search the posted classified ads (both title and description) via an efficiently designed search utility. The search utility should have typical user operated search filters (price, date listed, location, etc) Users should be able to send messages to other users through the site. Messages should route through an admin box, which can be flagged to intercept messages containing certain key words or content. Users should be able to upload their own photos to the site, that will be automatically resized by the software to a certain size. These photos will then show in their classified ads. Users should have their own �User Panel� that will allow them to see all of their ad listings at once, respond to questions emailed through the site, etc (Similar in concept to a �My Ebay� type page) Each individual subcategory of the site should have a place for text and link enrichment for SEO purposes, which can be controlled via the admin panel. The site should have a specific section for articles and content related write-ups. The admin panel must be simple to use and incorporate easy tools that can control most all functionality aspects of the site. Looking to establish a working relationship with this programmer to continue on through the project. Programmer must have reasonable command of the English language, definitive, project oriented communication skills and a work schedule that will allow him/her to communicate (via IM or email) on a fairly regular basis while the site is being designed. I will provide all operating content, categories, text, write-ups, etc after the coding for the basic structure of the site is done.
