This is an exact repost of my previous project but with the proper budget (the other one was wrong).
I want to show a smartphone videogame concept and I need an illustration for the main character. The final illustration must feature a Toad. This is the first illustration we make for this videogame, so feel free to use your imagination. I need this to show the idea to some people and potential investors.
Name of the game is unclear, but may contain keywords like: Angry, Mega, Ultra, Toads. Hopefully these keywords help you get the idea.
The toad is tough and fearless, kind of like a Rambo or Chuck norris of frogs but with no guns. It should look dangerous. Very dangerous and reckless, a bit wild. The toad is huge and heavy, but agile. It destroys stuff by jumping on it and crushing it with its huge body.
-Drawing style: The character must be minimalistic vector graphic. Take a look at angry bird's characters, they are simple. Our frog must not be over detailed but maybe we need a bit more detail than angry birds (I don't think a frog can be round or a triangle but if you are skilled you may prove me wrong).
You should come up with something that can show the agressive and DANGEROUS character of the Toad. We are not really sure if its better to show a portrait of the toad or show it in action somehow. But we do want to keep it simple. IMPORTANT: Making an illustration that looks good is more important that getting all the character personality into it.
We just need a single illustration with one pose for the character, this means that you dont have to do a complete "character design": You dont have to show it in any other poses nor create a story for it. Its just a vector graphic of the toad with proper ambient and background as you see fit for display in webpages or small prints.
We need an adobe illustrator file with the work.
I dont think it should take you more than 3-4 hours. I expect the final piece to look good and that it catches your eye. I repeat: that is even more important that getting the character personality right.
