New ZENCART site for radio control business

We are a small company in Japan, selling Radio Control Helicopter and Airplane parts. We have been in business for over 3 years selling on-line. Currently, we accept orders by e-mail and send quotes and invoices, and paypal payment requests in an e-mail. We keep all our invoices and customer data in Peachtree software.

Our current site is run by Joomla, but difficult to keep the product listing up to date and current.

We are looking for a Zencart Expert with a strong technical expertise and dependability. The winning bidder will need to work with the current Joomla database to download the blog data, FAQ pages and newsletters and subscriber information.

We would consider working together in the future as our company expands and as we develop new companies if you are dependable.

More details:

The look and feel of our site will be clean and modern, like our current one. Set-up includes the categories, uploading of product information (most of which is already in excel format), forms for data collection and correspondence.

Products are categorized according to the manufacturer and then according to either their part number or smaller category. This should not go more than 3-4 levels.

Customers will be able to manually enter their order/parts, along with their shopping cart, that are not on our site. Please see one of our competitors site for an example of the order process ONLY!! [url removed, login to view]

Customer order/shopping cart will be submitted to us for stock approval and shipping estimate. NO orders will be immediately processed.

I will need to have access to the customers shopping cart to edit their order (remove items that are out of stock for example and add the shipping). I want to move away from using the Peachtree software for orders and do everything within the new site.

I would be open to your suggestions on how to handle payments (currently all done through PayPal or bank transfer) within the system. Example, send an email to them through the system, requesting them to pay.

Newsletter feature – customers will sign up (I want to have protection against spammers). Create Newsletters and send to customers.

After site is up, there may be some minor changes or fine tuning.

You will need to test the order process, including communication with the customer.

If this website can develop and work well, I would like to have different pricing levels for my wholesalers. So once the wholesaler signs in, they will view the same website but with wholesale prices.
