End user desktop and server support

We are a small IT services company serving small businesses' IT needs from A-Z, including servers, networks, cloud computing and virtualization, end-user support, and more. We need remote, ongoing, part-time help with IT projects and client support. Please note, this is currently a freelance and part-time gig, not a full-time job, but it could grow into FT if you are looking for that. You need to have great English as you will be communicating and working directly with clients. Strong preference given to people who are available for phone support at least part of the Eastern Standard Time (U.S.) workday, but this is not strictly critical. What you'll be doing and the skills you need: ---------------------- * End-user desktop, mobile device, and software support and troubleshooting, virus removal, etc. * New user setup and password resets * Logging all service tickets and time spent in a timely manner * Respond to our service requests generally within a few hours even if you cannot help with that task * Document and detail changes made and network configuration when needed Pluses (one or more ideal, but not necessary): ---------------------- * Mac experience * Server 2008/2012 support, configuration, and troubleshooting * Google Apps, Office 365, and/or Exchange experience * Networking and/or network security, firewall, wireless, etc. experience * Working knowledge of IP, TCP, FTP, IMAP, POP3, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory Above all, you should have experience interacting with clients and great written and verbal communications skills to explain complicated technology to laypeople.
