Here is a project I was working on this past year. The problem was
that I chose poorly the individuals with whom to work with. The lid
itself is sized to fit a 1 gallon paint can. The bubble lock feature
allows the contents of the container to be removed (poured) without
having to remove the lid itself. Of course there are design changes
that need to be both considered and reworked, but I trust you
understand the concept more vividly from these renderings.
The way it works is by pressing down on the bubble (left) and the lid
pops up. You can then pop it back into its settled airtight position.
I took this concept to another design firm who provided me a quote on
reverse engineering the prototype and marrying another lid-top design
with the one you see here, in order to develop a lid that is
applicable in numerous industries. (medical, industrial, etc.) The
direction I wanted to take is to develop a lid that could be sold
directly to paint manufacturers as an alternative container, in
addition to numerous industries, ie. Chemical, etc.
The Project was stalled and I lost my enthusiasm. However, the
product is indeed interesting and peeked the interest of several
Canadian Manufacturers. The concept alone can be used to develop all
sorts of products for India, China, Japan and Europe which were the
initial markets I had aimed to approach.
<<<<please tell me the timeframe..and the cost..and explain ur experience in this field..to get started..>>>>>
If this might be something you are interested in working on for a
vested interest, let me know. This is a project I would open to you
and offer you an equitable partnership if you think you could procure
the right minds, and take action.
