I have a WordPress site in development (using the Headway theme) for a client, and the problems I am having with IE 6 and IE 7 are stumping me. The site is [url removed, login to view] (what you see there is a temporary under construction page. NOTE: unless you are logged in, you can not see the true home page (where we're having the browser difference problems). I will provide login information to the chosen bidder.
You can see the problem at [url removed, login to view] where I have some screenshots. You can see that the right column falls down below the other left column content in IE 7 and IE 6.
On the interior page layout, the right column only has a problem in IE6, as you can see here: [url removed, login to view]
Working within the restrictions of the Headway WordPress theme:
- Find a solution that will prevent the right column from moving around on the page in all browsers.
- When a user scrolls the page smaller (using CTRL + scroll down), in some browsers (Firefox is one of them), that also causes the right column to move around. I want this locked down so that the column doesn't move in any browser if the user makes the page content smaller.
Note that Headway doesn't allow you to edit the usual WordPress files. They say: "Do NOT modify any core Headway files (anything but [url removed, login to view] and the custom folder is a core file)." You can use hooks, however, if that is helpful.
