Hello there,
To briefly introduce myself, I'm a 23 years old girl who has worked as a translator, writer, and proofreader; and even though I commonly work outside, I'd like to have the chance to permanently work from home.
I decided to be a proofreader some years ago. While in high school, in 2014, I started to earn some experience proofreading my classmate's thesis and essays during a few more than a scholar year.
After being promoted from high school, I moved to Valencia, Carabobo (2015) to study Modern Languages at Universidad Arturo Michelena, and found a job as an EN to ES translator at Express Yourself, a small translation company. My duties, apart from translating general, IT, educational and academic documents and texts from English to Spanish, included proofreading my co-worker's translations, client's thesis, and other documents.
As I wanted to have more time to focus on my career, I quicked from Express Yourself and found a less demanding job as a copywriter for some websites in Spanish.
In February 2019, I moved to Perú and worked for a year project at Proyecto educativo Pilares, a growing educational editorial group. In there, my duties included proofreading primary, schooler and highschooler books, and activities in Spanish.
I'd like to mention that, currently, I'm available to start working on full time and short/long-term projects. Furthermore, I'm willing to work on other time zones and sign an NDA if necessary.
Thank you to take the time to take a look at my profile. I hope we could work on future projects soon.
Best,
Mariannys.
