Tasks Included:

Migrating data from old system to a new ERP system called SAP. There was master data and transaction data files available to be migrated from old database to new template. Project involved data extraction using the scripts provided for the same by the programmers.

Data cleansing was required where additional data was input from 2-3 sources into the new template required for ERP. There were a lot of fields that had to be looked up as quite a few fields were new and some were mapped to a set of conditional data's.
I did about 8 projects with them over 4 months doing the activities for Vendors, customers, maintenance and QA department datas.
We were given some challenging deadlines to complete the transaction data as they had some kind of final testing date to migrate to new system.
This was one of my most challenging data management projects ever.

SAP Data Conversion

I was hired for this engagement four years ago. I was given a 1 hour documentary video to prescribe in MS Word. There was a lot of information and as speaking is faster than writing, I had trouble to keep pace with the track.

Gradually I did my best and typed faster. After that I got a lot of videos to convert to words. I enjoyed doing the work. It was a part of this large organization. It was one of my successful projects.

I was hired by Auto Phone to create a new database derived from various sources. I was given many CSV data formats to cleanse data. I formatted data and created clean data in required template. I had to extract data available in multiple web download database in excel raw data / csv / db exported fields in RTF / Word format. There were multiple data activities involved.

At first, it seemed too complex. But after a while, I planned the job and started addressing the requirements sequentially. I managed to complete the first few tasks initially and got a good hang of the final data template required. That understanding helped me work faster while planning data cleansing on other source data.

It was an amazing opportunity with a large company like Auto Phone. I had a great experience working with them. I provided my best and the project head commended me for fast output. It was indeed a satisfying experience for me!
