Web page dedicated to a very important and controversial moment in World War 2 history, created for RADOR News Agency: detonation of the Romanian headquarters in Odesa by the Soviet Army. On October 22nd 1941, the Soviets ordered detonation by radio signal of a bomb previously placed in the basement of the Romanian headquarters in Odesa, a city that had been conquered by the Romanians and the Germans following repeated attacks and heavy human-life losses on October 16th 1941. The blast killed 16 high-rank officers, 46 soldiers and lower-rank officers, several civilians and four German navy officers. The Romanian and German military were not able to identify the authors of the attack, so they decided to take revenge on the civilian population in Odesa. 5.000 local civilian, mostly Jewish people, were killed at random in a dreadful massacre that still appalls. The page contains first-hand witness testimonials and indirect ones, excerpts from interviews kept in the public radio`s
