EXPERIENCE College of Forestry, Ponnampet Duration: June 2002 - till date Role: Assistant Professor of Computer Science. Presently I am working as assistant Professor of Computer in the College of Forestry, Ponnampet. My responsibilities are teaching students C/C++, VC++, Web Design (HTML and JavaScript) and Microsoft Office. I am also responsible for staff training and maintenance of computers. Advanced Synergic Microsystems Limited DURATION : Aug 2000 – November 2003 ROLE : Software Engineer PROJECT DETAILS Recovery CD Client : Inode Corporation, USA Duration : Jan 2002 – May 2002 Role : Software Engineer. Recovery CD is a project to restore or repair the Operating system corrupted. It is used to recover the corrupted or lost files from Operating System without the need of reinstalling the system. Role: I was involved in developing the Custom Boot where a pop up menu appears and to switch on to desired operating systems using MBR. I was also involved accessing FAT16 and FAT32 systems. Fleet Management System Client : Duration : August 2001 – December 2001 Role : Software Engineer Fleet management system is a project to monitor the vehicle movement between two points. It consists of two parts 1) Base Unit 2) Vehicle Unit. Base Unit is responsible for collecting the information of vehicles passing between two points and transmitting the message to a given vehicle if any. Vehicle unit is responsible for receiving the message from the base unit and sending acknowledgement after receiving messages and also information about a sick vehicle if it encountered during its journey between two points. We are using AT89C51 microcontroller for receiving and sending data. Role: I am involved in developing Base Unit in C using 89C51 microcontroller. ControlCenter ST Client : PowerQuest Corporation, U.S.A. Duration : July 2000 – Jan 2001. Role : Software Engineer DeployCenter: DeployCenter is a product that provides efficient and intelligent desktop management solutions from anywhere in the world. DeployCenter consists of secured web console, which gives the user the ability to execute tasks like create / restore the hard drive partition images, shutdown/ restart the remote client machines, copying the file from remote location to a client machine. DeployCenter also has an automatic notification feature that sends an alert via e-mail when tasks have been completed. A Control Server, an NT service that communicates with remote Client Agents to execute the scheduled tasks. The Client Agents system information is sent to the Control Server and stored in the ODBC-compliant database, so the Control Server administrator can reference, query the information and create / schedule the tasks using the secured web console developed in CGI running on a web server. DeployCenter utilizes the PXE, Wake-On-LAN and Virtual Floppy technology to intelligently manage the Client Machines without having to physically visit them. DeployCenter was also localized into four International languages: English, French, German and Japanese. Storage Monitor: StorageMonitor is a product that provides efficient and intelligent storage management solutions from anywhere in the world. Storage Monitor is a Web-based Console that identifies and displays all the online and Offline Client Agents you are managing on a LAN/WAN. Client Agent sends the detailed system, volume, network and partition information to the ControlServer, an NT service that stores these informations in the ODBC-compliant database. ControlServer receives notification of client machine startup / shutdown and pings for the current state of the Client Agents at user specified intervals to check whether the server is up and running and sends alert messages via e-mail for storage usage and thresholds. StorageMonitor was localized into four International languages: English, French, German and Japanese. Role: • Involved in development of Client Agent and testing of Control Server and Client Agent and bug fixing of Client Agent and Control Server. • Involved in studying PXE and set up of PXE environment for testing purposes. Environment : Visual C++, Watcom C++, Windows 2000/NT/95/98 and MSDOS Aeronautical Development Establishment, Bangalore DURATION : Oct 1998 – March 1999 ROLE : Software Engineer LCA Warning List Editor Client : Aeronautical Development Establishment, Bangalore Duration : Oct 1998 – March 1999 Role : Software Engineer Description : The main objective of the project was to build warning list editor, which was helpful for pilot in LCA. Involved in the design and development of this editor. Was also involved in testing the data coming from various inputs like MFR, HUD, LMFD and RMFD. Role: • Involved in design of UI, development and testing of the above module. Environment : Visual C++, Windows 95, 98 and MSDOS Academy of Sanskrit Research, Bangalore DURATION : April 1992 – April 1995 ROLE : Systems Analyst Syntactic and Semantic Parser for Natural Language Duration : April 1992 – April 1994 Client : C-DAC, Pune Role : Systems Analyst Description : The main objective of the project was to build a knowledge-based system for Sanskrit Language. A lexical analyzer was developed to parse the Sanskrit sentences. The grammatical validity of the sentence was analyzed through analyzer, which was built for this purpose based on Panini’s grammar rules. Responsibility in this project included interaction with the linguists to understand the compatibility of words forming the sentence based on grammar rules and writing programs to incorporate them. In addition was the responsibility for detailed design of semantic analyzer algorithm development and programming various methods. Role: • Involved in discussion with linguists, design of data structures, design of UI, development and testing of the above project. Environment : C++, MSDOS Academy of Sanskrit Research, Bangalore DURATION : April 1994 – April 1995 ROLE : Systems Analyst Metric Analyzer Duration : April 1994 – April 1995 Client : C-DAC, Pune Role : Systems Analyst Description : The main objective is to identify meters in the given stanza of Sanskrit and to analyze them. To analyze the meters an intelligent semantic analyzer was built to validate the given stanza before identifying meters. This project was sponsored by Department of Electronics and developed at Academy of Sanskrit Research, Bangalore for C-DAC, Pune. The user interface was made menu driven using advanced features of the C++ graphics tool. Object oriented methods were incorporated in the design of semantic analyzer module. I was responsible for detailed design of semantic analyzer and associated program modules. Role: • Involved in discussion with linguists, design of data structures, design of UI, development and testing of the above project. Environment : C++, MSDOS Joyce Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore DURATION : May 1995 – Aug 1995 ROLE : Software Engineer Device Drivers for Digital Motors and Oscilloscopes Duration : May 1995 – Aug 1995 Client : Joyce Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore Role : Software Engineer Description : The general purpose digital motor rotations are controlled using the input/output ports of X86 compatible PCs. The controlling mechanism involves increasing and decreasing the speed, measuring the speed of motors and programming the motor movements. The oscilloscope is simulated using the 86 compatible PC by reading the signals in input ports and displaying them using the graphics features of the Turbo C. The system has the provision for scaling amplitude and frequency of the input signals. Role: • Involved in development and testing of the above project.
