Competition proposal renders
These images are part of my proposal for a Tourist Info Point design contest. The first is a diagram explaining the main idea of the project and the second is a general abstract view of the building. The idea comes from the map of the city itself which inspired the steel structure and the shape of the pavilion. On the ground the steel structure forms an actual map which can be used by tourists to find their way even when the Pavilion is closed. The pavilion is suspended by cables on the extensions of the map-shaped structure. On the pavilion itself the streets become windows extending to the roof and floor richly illuminating the interior as well as providing a fascinating glow of electric light during the night.
