Retired professional able to undertake work as a software developer. I am a Physics graduate of Imperial College, London ([login to view URL]. and Ph.D.) For over 35 years I have been involved in programming projects part time, some contracted and some voluntarily, in Algol, Assembler, FORTRAN, C, C++ GLPro, Perl and PHP. Now retired, I have plenty of time to put these skills to work as a sole freelancer known as "Festival Software" focusing on custom PHP applications since 2008. I am committed to writing solid, commented, error-trapped and tested code. I believe good programming style is important for readable and maintainable code. My terms include 2 months free support including alterations broadly within the original specification. My preference now (Aug 2017) is to work with the Yii2 framework. My motivation is as much to complete interesting and challenging projects as for the money earned. That is why I prefer to set a price for a project and stick to it.

David has produced for me an unbelievably high quality, bespoke software product -- and with exceptional service.
