I graduated last May 2006 with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I graduated as Cum Laude in AMA Computer College, Davao . After graduating, I worked temporarily as an office staff where I acquired real-world experience in accounting application and reporting, banking transactions, and preparing transaction forms such as requests and vouchers. After a couple of months, I was hired by Lane Systems, Inc. as Web Applications Developer. As a Web Applications Developer, my job responsibilities included working with a team in maintaining one of the companys ERP products and developing the customization for five existing and five new clients of this fully web-enabled business management software using languages such as VB.net, ASP.net, JavaScript, HTML, XML and Microsoft SQL. During my entire service, I was able to stabilize this web application and completed the customization for two of our clients. Among the development team, I am the first to acquire vast knowledge about the Microsofts latest technology of reporting which is the SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS). I got familiar with every aspect of it such as configuration, troubleshooting errors, developing reports and deployment. Due to satisfactory performance, in less than a year, I was promoted as Software Development Manager. Aside from performing my duties as a developer, my additional responsibilities as a manager are to look after the development team of the organization, solve whatever problems the junior programmers face while developing clients software, serve as meeting facilitator, and provide programming plan and status reporting. I also support the technical team during meetings with some of our local clients during deployment, presentation, and user training. I also partake in administrations decision-making and project management. I indeed made a valuable contribution to the companys success. Nevertheless, I resigned from my work a month before I reached my second year because I found myself bored with the work and looking for more challenges. I am an excellent employee and I didn't want my unhappiness to have any impact on the job I was doing for my employer.
