New Issue Design was founded in 2010 by Creative Director, Gemma Burgess. Gemma spent most of her early career building a well respected reputation in London, England, firstly working on corporate design needs for clients ranging from well known blue-chips to up-and-coming bands before moving on to contract publishing titles and high-end consumer magazines including Cosmo Girl!, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan Bride and Glamour. In 2008 she made Vancouver, Canada, her home and after several years working at the Georgia Straight Newspaper as their Art Director, she formed New Issue Design and has never looked back. The agency focuses on three core design fields: (i) magazine design including overall style creation, cover-to-cover issue completion and trouble-shooting/ on-demand layouts; (ii) brand identity from logo concepts to website solutions; and (iii) print advertizing.
