I am a freelance writer. Over the past five years I have written and published poetry, short stories, narrative scripts for documentary films, songs, and most recently---a highly regarded Masters thesis on "The Role of the Protest Singer/Songwriter in Antiwar Movements in America: Vietnam vs. Iraq/Afghanistan" which is currently in review for publication. I have also logged hundreds of hours on blogs and forums. I am an avid, highly motivated researcher, with a proven ability to successfully navigate a wide range of topics.
As part of a career change, I recently complete my MA in the Economic & Social Development of Regions/Conflict Resolution from UMass Lowell. I also hold a BA in English Composition. The bulk of my previous work history is in corporate management, where I spent over 10 years as General Manager of a reputable transportation company. During my tenure as GM, I successfully developed a highly productive, sustainable workforce made up of individuals from 15-20 different countries.
I am also a singer/songwriter and have been writing, recording, and producing original material for over three decades. I have a vast and varied working knowledge of the music and entertainment industry. My current project, Tricade360, is aimed at mentoring novice singer/songwriters pro bono. Time to 'give back.'
I look forward to hearing from perspective employers and welcome any and all feedback.
