I have worked as a captive (employee) Engineer for several companies over the years including a 10+ year stint at the Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) in Pasadena and also as a contract Engineer for many years after that. I am currently working as an employee again but occasionally take on some side jobs that are of interest. I have done both hardware design work as well as embedded programming for misc Microprocessor/Microcontroller, DSP and ARM/CORTEX chips. I have strong troubleshooting skills and can do hardware prototyping if needed. I can also create Gerber Plots for PCB layouts (multi-layer) though i would need to know the details of the job and the parts used to assess the complexity of the task. I would not know the myriad of new programming languages which seem to spring up like weeds every month but understand vanilla C and have done Assemble programming in the past (as well as FORTRAN and several other "dead" languages - may they rest in peace). I am very honest and conscientious with an eye for detail and always try to think outside the box when seeking Engineering solutions to a problem.
