I take pride in designing and developing high quality software products. Well-designed software is less costly to build and maintain, therefore I make designing software well a primary goal. Because the meaning of "well designed" can change with time (it is natural for understanding of the problem to improve with time, and for requirements to change with time) I do not hesitate to refactor when appropriate. Other aspects of software development that I care about include: security, performance (especially in database code) and testing.
