I studied at both the University of Indiana (USA) and the University of Canterbury (UK) graduating in 2006 with a BA in American Literature. I took courses in history, politics, literature, communications and journalism. Before graduating, I spent four months as an intern at government relations consultancy, Senate Communications in Auckland, working on such projects as the 2005 British and Irish Lions Tour of New Zealand. I also assisted with managing the media when Prince William visited at around the same time. Other projects included an extensive perception audit for a major healthcare company. Following my time at Senate, I spent over five years in public relations consultancies, writing complex communications strategies for a wide variety of clients. I have extensive experience in public relations, copywriting, proofreading, editing and journalism. I am a competent copywriter, able to create anything from a 20,000 word website to leaflets, brochures, newsletters, advertisements and other collateral. My media releases and articles get positive feedback from journalists and editors, in New Zealand, Australia and further afield. I also ghost-write a monthly column for a popular business magazine and hold the position of Senior Features Writer on an equestrian magazine called 'Show Circuit.'
