Design a set for a classic piece of theatre, A Midsummer Night's Dream, on a grand scale with moving scenery and conceptually based on the painterly quality of an artist. By developing a scale ground plan, the organization of the multiple spaces was discovered. The use of multiple white models helped to further explore the design of the various spaces in the production. Sketches were the used to explore details and textures. The finished model was created using balsa wood, moss, foam core board, and illustration board. The design, elevations, and all architecture are based on the research seen here.

About Me

I have always displayed artistic tendencies, mainly in my immense interest for artistic craftsmanship. My hands constantly want to mold, shape, and construct the clouds of ideas that lurk in my head and make them visible to the eye. To be an artist, one must display a strong and solid character that is confident but also flexible enough to be willing to accept the ever-present changes in life. Though my principles are grounded, I recognized the importance of versatility in my attitude. Life is governed by dynamics and energy, and I am able to shift my perspectives and see life in all its beauty, which is important for keeping in tune with artistic sensibilities. If I want to continue to give the world ideas needed to fuel its progress, I must be willing to accept the changes that come with it. The above-mentioned factors, however, cannot exist without determination. To be an artist, I believe the major driving forces to be determination and passion. I am determined to see my ideas to come to life without being impeded. I have a deep passion for what I do and strive everyday to perfect my craft. I always come into work thinking of ways that I can make myself better, and how I can utilize my talents to take the project I'm working on to a new level.
