I recently left a job with a major multinational corporation in favor of a more exciting and flexible position at a small fast-growing company. My current employer uses the LAMP suite of technologies: Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP. It requires heavy use Javascript and jQuery. I use ZendStudio for development, and I've chosen to implement the CodeIgniter MVC framework. Being a small company, I fulfill the roles of web designer, software developer. and database administrator, so I'm well versed in all three areas.
My previous position used the .NET framework (C# and VB.NET) to develop web apps for distribution via our corporate intranet, with ASP.NET-generated DHTML on the frontend and MS-SQL on the backend.
