The client is a book publisher company based in Berlin, Germany. They needed a system that given an uploaded file (pdf, doc, docx, etc), it recommended the user what pages to print in color and what pages to print in black and white given a combination of parameters like color variation, distribution and saturation. This was done using a machine learning approach (unsupervised learning - clustering) along with a customized formula that calculated the metric for the clustering.
