From the Shadows
Drawing inspiration from comic books and various other types of popular culture, a small group of socially conscious individuals across North America has adopted a unique style of community outreach. These men and women fashion their own costume and persona, then hit the streets. Motor Mouth is a costumed activist based in Oakland, California. To him, the city is more than just the place he calls home. He is a man who constantly strives to serve his community. His love of Oakland is deeply rooted in the core of his personality. This civic pride has led Motor Mouth to devote the majority of his free time to the betterment of his beloved city. He spends countless hours providing aid to the homeless, patrolling high crime areas, and works closely with nonprofit organizations like the Love Oakland Group.
