Fix and expand functionality of a couple of websites on paid per hour bases • €224 EUR

We agreed he would deliver within 2 days, but he kept making excuses for postponing work to the next day, then came with new excuses. Didn't read and follow simple and clear instructions and didn't test his own work before handing over. I hired him per hour, but he billed unfairly, even billed for things I had to solve myself because he wasn't able to. In the end I gave him the choice to either deliver part of the work (the easiest part!) immediately or I would find another freelancer, he then tried hard but made a complete mess. He also blindly overwrites older files, never leaves backups for older files, and doesn't comment inside the scripts he worked on. At least he was mature enough to cancel my milestone so I didn't have to go through a dispute but still employers should be warned. Don't hire him per hour and not for complicated tasks or larger jobs.
