I am an individual software developer based out of New Delhi, India. I have a total work experience of over 8 years and have extensively worked on technologies spanning from web 2.0 based ones including web services, API integration, mesh-ups, AJAX, WebOS, widgets and social networking site development as well as mobile based application development such as android application development. I also have hands on experience of Adobe AIR platform. I have good expertise in web page scrapping technologies and RSS/ATOM feed parsing and aggregation. I believe in on-time delivery and maintaining the quality of the product. I am committed to deliver quality solutions to our clients in time. I work hard to establish long term business relationship with our clients. I usually take only a few selected projects at a time in order to be able to provide better and more satisfying solutions to our clients and I bid only for those projects where either I have prior experience of working on similar projects or firmly believe that I can keep my promise of timely delivery to my clients. Please feel free to contact me for any further inquiry..

Simplyfeye develops products and solutions aimed to simplify bioprocess data management. ProcessPad makes it extremely easy to visualize process execution data to fuel analysis and gain process insights. It provides an integrated view of the process where preliminary process trending and statistical process control can be easily performed for the entire process. The insights gained can be readily shared with colleagues to enable knowledge dissemination for faster resolution of process deviations and root cause investigations. The company has two products, namely ProcessPad and ProcessPad-RT. I was responsible for the design, development and preliminary testing of both of these products. ProcessPad:- This software suite consisted of three logical units. Data Capturing, Data Visualization and Statistical Data Analysis. The data capturing module allowed the user to upload batch record data Excel sheets to our web based system. The system performs all the checks e.g. weather the sheet has already been uploaded or not, then it calculates the md5 sum of the content of the sheet and compares it with the stored md5 sums for the given batch signature to check if the batch has been modified or not. If everything is found perfect, the data gets uploaded to our server which stores it into a MySQL database for further use. The software also has 3rd party connectors such as for OSI PI Historian from where it can directly fetch the data to save companies from the tedious and error prone task of handling legacy data which would have to be brought in our Excel format first and then uploaded to our server, had these connectors not been written. The whole process would have been time consuming and costly affair. Our data connectors are the solutions to such pain points. Now coming to the data visualization part, it uses Amcharts and Protovis charting libraries to display a wide array of charts/plots such as profile charts, control charts, correlation matrix[heat map], scatter plot and so on. The third component [Statistical analysis] is tightly linked with the visualization module. Various statistical lines are displayed along with the basic batch/parameter data lines to allow the user easily find out batches whose profiles/control chart lines are going beyond the control limits. Such outliers, once identified, can assist in pinpointing the root causes associated with the batch going bad during the manufacturing process. Upper specification limits and lower specification limits are used to calculate 1SD, 2SD and 3SD statistical parameters in the visualization process. Finally the software allows the user to share their analysis with their colleagues in the form of exported raw data sheets and charts. The raw data sheets can be used as input to some advanced statistical analysis tools readily available in the market. ProcessPad has some basic social media features such as commenting, rating and so on on the shared analysis/charts. The software has been deployed in 3 large bio-pharmaceutical companies till date. ProcessPad-RT:- This suite includes real time data collection and its overlay with the offline data collected manually in ProcessPad suite. It fetches real time equipment data from bio-reactors and without temporarily storing it, directly displays it in the form of visually meaningful charts/graphs and genealogy plots. This suite also provides real time views of a batch running in a reactor as well as a whole unit running in a manufacturing plant. Recently we added a plant view to this module to enable senior management to keep an eye on the various processes going on in the entire plant in the form of a dashboard.

Ariem was a product base company aiming to be the leader in developing and marketing new generation TV-centric Web Consoles offering unified application suites for a better Internet experience, thus opening new markets and delivery opportunities. It had successfully developed three products in a series named - Razorbee Teacher's Aid, Razorbee Internet set-top Box and Razorbee TV Banking Device. RazorBee was initially developed using QT/Webkit/Linux environment and then ported to Android later. The user interacted with RazorBee through a remote control with a touchpad and cell phone type text entry keypad. For last one and a half year, company's focus had been realigned to provide software-only solutions as well for a wide array of devices including Android based mobile phones and tablets. At Ariem, I was one of the key member of the core development team. I designed, developed and tested a number of software modules/apps including all three home screens or launcher applications similar to any android based smart-phone's home screen applications for the three flagship products. I also developed a few widgets and other android applications especially for the Razorbee Net Top box including a home screen weather widget similar to the one provided by Samsung's galaxy grand 2 smart-phone, and that in 2011! I partly developed two applications which were published on Google play store namely "Multimedia slide share" and "My Youtube viewer". The first one could be used to fetch multimedia content from various Google search APIs [Image, video and text search] and create slides out of them. Later one of my colleague added voice-over feature to these slide items. "My Youtube viewer" application was a customized youtube application for Razorbee product series. The Slide share application was initially named Playlist App where each playlist contained one or more multimeda items [image/text/video/audio/templates] where template was a combination of more than one primitive media types. The user could create a playlist by fetching content from the net in our application itself and then upload it on our playlist server or play them inside the device itself. A playlist was an independent entity which could be copied to USB stick, uploaded on the server or downloaded from the server. I also single handedly developed a desktop counterpart of our playlist player application using Adobe's AIR platform. I would like to also mention one more application named Web Channels which used RSS feeds to get contents. The concept of a web channel was similar to TV channels. They were created from web content relevant to the user. The project consisted of creating web channels out of internet feeds such as News feeds, Facebook data streams, Twitter data streams and various other video and audio feeds. The end product enabled the user to watch a slide show of the above data sources on TV giving a feeling similar to browsing through a magazine on TV, flipping/scrolling screen after screen. One screen may show news headlines, another may show the recent activities of their friends on twitter and Facebook. Google reader integration had also been added. The content added a lot of value when text was combined with images and videos which were an integral part of most of the above mentioned web content.

Mfuzz: A software package for soft clustering of microarray data
Bioinformation. 2007; 2(1): 5–7.
For the analysis of microarray data, clustering techniques are frequently used. Most of such methods are based on hard clustering of data wherein one gene (or sample) is assigned to exactly one cluster. Hard clustering, however, suffers from several drawbacks such as sensitivity to noise and information loss. In contrast, soft clustering methods can assign a gene to several clusters. They can overcome shortcomings of conventional hard clustering techniques and offer further advantages. Thus, we constructed
DNA motifs and sequence periodicities
In Silico Biology 6, 0008 (2006)
Genomic DNA sequences contain a wealth of information about the bendability and curvature of the DNA molecule. For example, the well-known 10-11 bp periodicities within genomes can be attributed to supercoiled structures or wrapping around nucleosomes. Such periodic signals have previously been examined mainly based on mono- or dinucleotide correlations. In this study, we generalize this approach and analyze correlation functions of longer motifs such as tetramers or poly(A) sequences. Periodically placed m
