The Mentor Hive is a website for University Students and Alumni of Anglia Ruskin as well as professionals. Students create accounts on the site where they can pick a mentor according to their profiles and the profiles of the mentor. The mentors then help them through their student life and into the professional world by giving unique advice and assisting them with contacts and direction. The website has user accounts, profiles, access levels mail responders, points systems, rewards and privacy all built in. The site is run on the Joomla 1.7 CMS and uses a number of custom Joomla extensions to achieve production level standards. Notably this site also saw the birth of the CB Auto Assign ACL Group user plugin which is now retailed online by Alamo Systems.
