MA in Economics from Punjab University, Chandigarh and [login to view URL]. in National Development and Project Planning from Bradford University, U.K. Taught economics to graduate and post graduate students briefly before joining the Government of India as a member of the Indian Economic Service (IES) in November 1971. After working with the Government for around 23 years, took voluntary retirement in February 1995 and joined CARE, world's largest relief and development organization. In 2005 joined as Director of FICCI Socio-Economic Development Foundation and worked there for 2 years. Now 65 years young, living in Dehradun and Mumbai, teach MA Economics and management students. Also advise some NGOs in project design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation donor reporting.
